Faulty product repair

Hi all, my husband purchased a tv and surround sound in December. The surround sound was faulty so he took the sub woofer back to currys and agreed for them to attempt to repair it. This was 3 weeks ago. He has just received a text to say it's going to be booked into the repair centre.... how long is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a repair as 3 weeks without it being sent off seems quite long to me....?
