Thanks theronstar
Thats the biggest worry for her and given what she endured before she moved into a council flat i am willing to make the move to her even though it worked against us economically in the short termMortgage when started: £56,400
Current mortgage (30/12/2017): £46,800 & £78,900
Mge Target 1: , Tgt 2:
Current Savings (07/12/2016): £30,000
Savings Target: £38,000 by Jan 190 -
if you move in with her, the income judged is the joint income, and the housing benefit will stop. (I don't know about the other benefits).0

Also be aware of your extra liabilities when you are a landlord. (Plenty of posts on this topic).
Other things to consider:
Would the lodger be happy/able to afford to be a tenant, who will have to pay more rent or share with someone else ?
If the lodger becomes a tenant, the situation could change and he may become a poor payer or refuse to move out, incurring legal costs to remove, if he becomes a tenant.0
