Hi,
Had a nice cheque back from Lloyd's a couple of years ago now for 3k.
I came across an old Cabolt Finance letter the other day regarding an HFC Loan.
I am going to send an SAR off to both as when I got into trouble Cabolt took over the loan.
Can i be cheeky and recover money from both??.
The wau I am thinking I paid insurance to HFC yes but I am thinking that cabolt have probably bought the loan including the PPI so I would have been paying it to them too.
Can I do that?.

You have to complain to the seller (HFC - HSBC deal with them)
The system is setup to stop you "being cheeky" - they are allowed to offset any PPI refund against money you didn't pay back (including interest frozen or any money written off)Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
