At no point did I ever suggest that employers shouldn't comply with the law. But in the real world there are employers who don't. And there are employees who are a nightmare to employ too. Ignoring those facts is ridiculous. I don't suggest working for one of those employers, but for some people, needs must. Telling your employer that they are acting unlawfully, whether that is true or not, is seldom a career making move.

You may be telling them what they want to hear, but you are certainly not helping them.

I was merely pointing out the correct position & recourse available.

I am glad to hear you now accept this (as it's certainly not what your previous posts always seem to suggest).

I realise there are employers who fail to comply with the law - but that is wrong, so should not simply be accepted, just because it goes on.

It's a forum where employees come to find out their rights - not employers'.

I am simply baffled that you believe it's 'helping' employees in any way by telling them they shouldn't bother challenging illegality in the workplace, because they might lose their jobs.

It's why the law was brought in - to protect those who fear that.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.

This is not true, we do see employers (usually small businesses) posting questions on here, are you suggesting that they should not be helped? It's not your forum you know, you can't make up rules just because they are what you think should happen.
