    yes, good point, first be sure the unit rate and standing charge is less than you are currently on.

    I think the limit is £500 for when a supplier can block a switch

    I think that's only if you are on a pre-pay meter. Pre-pay debits can often be transferred if they are less than £500. Credit meter debit cannot.

    As said above, if you are on a credit meter you'll get a final bill which will become a default if not paid within 28 day.s That could end up being reported to a credit reference agency which isn't what most people want.

    Hi I would like to change my energy supplier as my current tariff is ending but according to them I owe roughly around £120 can i still change suppliers and save money without paying any extra any advice but greatfull
