Travelling to Thailand. Over the counter Prepaid Card

I am going thailand this weekend and I am wondering if I can find something other than the Post office pre paid card (I've read the reviews...its generally considered terrible). I should say I did register with revolut card but that won't arrive till monday (I am leaving on sunday).
Alternatively, if no one has any suggestions, and I am forced, I would use my acqua card (which I using to rebuild my credit and I currently has a 0 balance). I would front load it with a cash amount so the its in credit + amount and make withdrawals when necessary ( I won't putting all my holiday money on it just a small amount ) additionally, I am taking a small amount of local currency and a large amount sterling (which I will change when I arrive in BKK) .
Fingers crossed I am in the correct section for credit cards and I posted this in the wrong place.

I'm reluctant to recommend a prepaid card in any context, as it's your own money at risk if the card is lost / stolen / compromised.
I don't know if the Aqua card is a Visa or Mastercard, but both should be readily accepted in Thailand, and of course you have the same protections a credit card would give you in the UK.0 -
We used our Halifax Clarity card in Thailand no problems but presumably you don't already have one of those?
It was a couple of years ago now but when I travelled for a few months in Asia I used the Caxton FX card. Not sure how quickly they arrive though or if they're still any good - it was the best option when I got it but that was 2014!
All in all, this was probably a very unhelpful reply!

Sign up now for Monzo via the link in the MSE article, load £100 and your card should arrive by Saturday.

Your Revolut card may also arrive, but their normal interbank rates are not used for Thai baht.
Note that Thai ATMs charge Bt200-220 (~£5) for withdrawals using any foreign card.
Rates for cash exchange are very good in Thailand, look for SuperRich, Vasu exchange etc, beginning with downstairs by the rail station in the airport (not bank booths at arrival level).Evolution, not revolution0 -
If you are using your Aqua to build/re-build credit history I would check your Aqua terms and conditions before pre-loading as some cards state that you should not hold a positive balance (they are credit and not debit cards after all).
I can't really imagine that any action would be taken as a consequence of such a breach but if my credit history/standing was fragile I would want to make sure that I stayed well within the rules.0 -
thailand atm are 200 baht per withdrawal. Use only a couple of times for large withdrawals only0
