    Morning everyone.

I slept long and deep last night, sore knee is not so sore as before. I'm not driving down to Glasgow this weekend so it'll get a bit more rest.

I woke at about 5am feeling so hot, it was 10 degrees outside. Today will be rainy still.

This morning I've got to go to the bank, take stuff to the dump and then have two hours of teaching. After that I'll do some housework, my new indulgence of a cleaner will start on Monday so some areas need attention first!

Camelot - I'm glad to hear you're staying at home, school is the worst place to be when under the weather. Get better soon.

    Happy Thursday to all.

Morning everyone, still reading along and enjoying the daily thread.

Glad to read that your dentist appointment went well Dumpling, hope today does the same.

Cloudy here at the moment but we are meant to have warm sunshine this afternoon, am meeting a friend for a cuppa and a chat this afternoon so hopefully we can sit outside at the tea shop, it's been a few months since we've seen each other so a lot to catch up on. We used to have our horses at the same yard and they were great pals so have a few bits of Bill's to give her.
It's food shopping this morning, just fresh bits as trying to use up the contents of the freezer and have found some salmon for tea.

    Have a good day folks.
  • Good morning all,

    Dull morning today.

My usual gym is shut for unknown reasons so I've been granted access for another gym in the city centre. Doesn't add anything on to my journey time and the gym is much much larger. Might move there permanently.

Football last night as usual and I've got another game tonight with people from work. I am trying to do more exercise so I'm happy to do it.

Not much else to report. Need to get on with work and the urns packed in. NO COFFEE!!

    Have a lovely day everyone.
  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

We now have a huge bag of wood mulch and a load of wood on the front grass, guess who is going to be shovelling wood mulch a bit later.

The gate is now mended only 18 months after reporting problems with it, the chap is come back next week, to pull the tensioners in on it.

We had to get up early the wood yard phoned to say that delivery would be between 7.30 - 8.30. Huge lorry complete with mini crane arrived just as we were eating our porridge. All dumped on the front garden now. we will have to move the wood bit by bit on the trolly. Guess who is going to have to supervise the erection of the sides of the deep beds???

It looks a bit grey, hope we are not in for rain, I need to get the stuff shifted round to the back before it affects the grass.

Took what I thought was cubed beef out of the freezer, irs mince, hey ho, mince and dough balls for supper instead of beef casserole. Enough scotch broth for two lunches, but I will have to bake bread. I have one toasting loaf left in the freezer and we are on the last 4 litre container of milk. Hope to last out to next tuesday.

I have had to phone this morning to renew my prescription, they have altered the delivery days, wish they would leave things alone, it worked perfectly well, if it works don't fix it is my motto............

Judi will you be covered by insurance?

Unfortunately not. Hubby has offered to replace it but I doubt if i'd find a ring i'd like as much as i'm not really a jewellery sort of person.

Thinking of Prodigal again this morning after hubby left for work. When I saw him on Sunday, high as a kite he was... its just made me realize he wanted a magic wand to wave all his problems away, he'd got no intention of sorting himself out, he just wanted the help to allow him to enable the life he is leading. When I challenged him about what he had taken he just laughed and said "You only live once". No sorrow, no remorse.

    Sad really.

Still, we all have our health, i love and am loved in return. That counts for such a lot.

Afternoon - back from my chores. Went to the bank for some cash and got offered some new £2.00 coins so asked for five. Turns out that the bank has been sent the 'wrong' ones and they are all dated 2016. Someone is selling such coins on eBay already. I'll be spending mine!

Class today was very quiet, they all got on with their work except one noisy chap, a different one this time, who got short shrift. I had loads of paperwork to sort out, some to sign, piles to shred and two documents to write and email to the students.

Meter man has been to read the electric meter, he always phones first to check that I'm here. He rang last night so I asked him to come after class was finished, he's now heading back up to Oban.

There's work to do in the house but I'll probably leave it until tomorrow now as I need to chill a bit from the morning. I've been eating up leftover lamb shanks in mint sauce from my meat delivery the other week, they were delicious, so delicious that I've ordered more for the freezer.

    Hope all are well.

    Afternoon all
Had a lot of rain this morning but has stopped now and the sun is out. Went to A*da for a few bits, it was very busy and every checkout was open but there were still long queues. Don't go there very often as I dislike the shop, but on the plus side I bumped into two different people who I haven't seen for about 20 plus years, not since their children were little, so that was a nice catch up.
Judi Happy Anniversary and I'm still hoping your ring will turn up.
Dumpling I hope your DD gets on ok today with her psychiatrist.
    Tiredmum2 Happy Holiday!
Was going to have curry and rice for tea but forgot to take it out of the freezer, so will have fish and chips for me and DH will have chicken.
    Have a good Thursday.

    Evening all,

Rather a misty kind of day, went to hospital with OH for his blood test, then for salad roll and tea, brought one to DD4, which all 3 girls helped her to eat, after they had their porridge, which they insist on eating themselves, helped this morning by Daideo (OH). He enjoys them so much its a pleasure to see. Feeling very tired, made the mistake of sitting down when I came home......woke up 2 hours later!! OH never wakens me, no matter how often I tell him, insists that I must need the sleep.

Dumpling.....glad to hear that your visit to the dentist went well, hope that DDs visit to psychiatrist went well.

Ruby....glad to hear that your mother is having a social life of her own, its very important that she does......

Jackie O....not everybody can keep up with you, but firmly convinced that your gallivanting keeps you so well.

Csarina.....hope that you have not been doing too much today, shovelling is very heavy work for anyone, no matter how fit and healthy
