it has cost me money and the only thing it has done to my credit score is to reduce it.

You should phone Experian up and tell them you want your fictional points back.

See if you can do it without expletives.

They probably do adjust payments if you make a payment, but not when it's only 4 days before the DD is taken.

It's not faster payments, the requests for DDs are filed ages in advance.

10-11 days and you might expect them to adjust the DD.

Virgin certainly isn't the only credit card company to still take the DD even if you make extra payments. Some of them do, some of them don't.

i'm sorry you've had this experience. You may consider opening up a capital one credit building card next. They are generally more user friendly, and also offer cards to people with bad credit, which is you now im afraid to say!

The only person you should be angry with is yourself.

I just assumed that all companies adjusted payments as it has never been a problem in the past. Obviously, I did not read the T&C but don't berate me for not doing so as I never have any problem with my finances, know how to budget and am never in debt.

Why not? You didn't read them and you admit as much.

    My life is so simple.

I pay the amount I want to pay, when I want to pay it and from the account I wish to pay it from.

    No DD worries 'ere.
