1) When applying for a balance transfer card how much, if at all, is the credit limit you get influenced by the size of transfer requested at time of application?
2) Is the amount of unused credit that I have available on my cards likely to negatively impact the credit limits my wife gets?

I would guess that 1 is very little, the credit limit of you qualify for their card is determined by your credit file, earnings etc
Ther shouldn't be much relationship between you and your wife's credit files, none if you aren't financially associated. If you are and have joint current accounts, mortgage etc then the answer is probably a little but not very much.0 -
