Season ticket query

I hope someone might be able to advise me.

I am starting a degree down in London and will be commuting from Leicester by train to st pancras and then on to paddington.

Lectures start at 9.30 am and go on to around 5 PM which means I will be travelling in peak time.

I will get a monthly season ticket for leicester to london and I have been told that this also includes a zone 1-6 london underground pass - is that correct?

secondly is it possible to get this transferred on to a oyster card because I really dont want my season ticket to be swallowed up by the london underground gates!

if anyone has any other suggestions on the travel etc I would be grateful.

Thanks.

Whether it includes zone 1-6 is up to you - it's an optional extra.

You can't put it on an Oyster card. However I've never had a ticket swallowed in error by the gates - not a real worry.

A separate PAYG Oyster may be cheaper than an inclusive ticket if you only need zone 1 - check the prices
