Quick questions that I have failed to find the answer to in their information.......
If we open a joint Advance, can we open a 5% monthly saver each?
And for the standing order to pay into the saver, can it be from another bank, or must it go from the Advance as FD insist with their one?

Yes, you can each open a regular saver. This is also possible with FD joint account.

Re SO, see above - the implication is that the SO should be on the HSBC account?0 -
Thanks, that is good.
My husband already has a sole account, would it be easy for him to add me as a joint account holder?
I had thought to open my own account but wondered if there was a minimum income requirement?
My income is low, his is high, so thought a joint account might be easier.
I have a FD account, and saver, so I could look at adding him to that so he can save with them too, all our other good monthly savers are ending soon.0 -

Thanks, he would need to phone as we do not have a convenient branch.
I read who is eligible, I can easily make the minimum deposit from other accounts, but my actual income is much less.
Was wary of applying for a sole account and being refused due to low income, in case that affected an application for a joint account.0
