Switching to HSBC Advance

Hi,
I've seen a few things saying that they're slow at opening accounts but is it normal that a week after applying (and 5 days after receiving a text telling me that my application was successful) I still haven't received a call about switching?
The weekly email states that they will call within 2 working days to arrange the switch but when I called yesterday they said that my account isn't open yet so they can't start the process. Hopefully this won't affect the £200 they're promising for switching to them...

Yepp. Took 10 days before I received anything from HSBC when I opened the account in November. Almost 20 days when I opened a First Direct account in Jan.
HSBC group are slooooow. If you ring, they will be able to tell you what you'll receive in the post a couple of days of it actually arriving.
The 'within 2 days' starts from when they open your account.0
