2 completely different quotes for bathroom fitting

I want a complete refurbishment of my bathroom, so tiled floor and walls, new 3 piece suite, radiator replaced and spotlights put in. It's a small bathroom at 6x6ft and what I want is pretty basic however I have been given vastly different quotes:
2x bathroom fitters quoted £2,600 (avg) for just fitting (they supply spotlights but I supply everything else)
2x bathroom fitters quoted £2,700 (avg) for fit AND supply everything.
I can't decide if I am being ripped off by the first two or getting a very dodgy cheap deal with the second two.
It was difficult to even get quotes in the first place as everyone is fully booked. The first two I found on trust a trader and the second two I found in the local paper, but they are all local and independent.
I already said yes to one of the first guys too only to find out he could not give me a date. Hence why I got additional quotes. So that is a bridge I need to cross if I am going to change my mind. It's only a verbal agreement and with no date and the other being near enough a third off morally I won't feel too bad.
Advice appreciated...I'm not looking for the cheapest option, I want my bathroom to last. But I also don't want to pay over the odds.
I'm in Manchester
Thank you

You can get a bathroom suite at B&Q for £200 so they prices are not that different.
Is it worth paying them over £2500 to install a cheap suite though. Better off buying the bits you want yourself or from their merchants so you get the kit you want.0 -
This is what I'm not sure about. I have asked one of the cheaper two to break down their quotes for me so I can see what labour costs. He also said he would bring round brochures and samples etc so I do have a say in what I'm getting0

The tradesperson will get discount from their supplier, as UKjoel said B&Q bathroom suites are really good value, I had one in my previous house, I bought the display model and got the lot for £170 including plumbing.
As the works and materials should be guaranteed make sure you get copies of all guarantees from the fitter. This should put your mind to rest.0 -
Around £2,500 is a fair price for proper preparation and fitting of a simple bathroom.
The key is to ask them what preparation works they will be carrying out and how long the job will take. Doing it properly is a building job, not a case of simply refitting. It takes time. A bathroom fit is not a five day job and to get best value you need to buy decent quality fittings to prevent having to do it all again five years down the line - or less!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thank you. That's it, I don't want to pay cheap and pay twice so maybe the more expensive guy is the one to go with and I am still getting a good deal. I was just worried, because of the massive difference in price, I was getting mugged but perhaps he is just going for a cheap set. I will see this eve when he comes round again!
Meanwhile I have still said yes to one of the original quotes anyway0
