Thinking of combining TV and Internet

Hi
My recent offer with Sky expired and I have since cancelled. They have offered me 60% off to tempt me back (which I think I read only applies to your current package which in my case is the Boxset Bundle). That would cost me £15.20 per month.
By coincidence im within the 30 day period for leaving BT due to price hike on 2 April. I pay £18.50 for Infinity Unlimited option 2 which is due to rise to £21 after the hike. I also pay £2.70 for Unlimited Evening and weekends call package which is due to rise to £3. Ive paid my line rental in advance for a year and this doesnt run out until August.
Im interested in possibly trying to get an all in one TV broadband and calls package but im wondering if these types of deals are worth it compared to my current expenses. BT told me that I'll only get 3 and half months of the line rental saver back but I think if you leave you dont get anything. Can anyone offer any advice if the all in one packages are worth it and if I will get any money back from BT in reference to the line rental saver? Also if I keep my TV seperate and take the 60% off deal with Sky I read in the small print that they can change subscription prices at anytime. I presume this is just like the yearly hikes you always get from the likes of Sky and isnt just limited to those on deals or offers? Many many thanks for any help or advice given.

Neil - might be worth you looking at Now TV. It's Sky content without a contract. 3 main packages - entertainment, cinema, and sports. The entertainment package is about £7 a month and you can access box sets as well as catch up, and the live entertainment channels. You can usually pick up a Now TV box pretty cheap and get some free vouchers - if you have a smart TV or PS4, it's on there anyway.
Maybe do that until your BT deal ends then look for an all in one. I get fibre BB, phone, anytime calls, through PlusNet - I also have their TV package including a Youview+ box which is about £5 a month (or a bit more for HD). They do have BT sport, but not sky channels. Has stuff like Discovery, Sci-fi, Nat Geo etc. but pretty tame content really.0 -
They only guarantee a percentage discount and not actual prices.
However, offers are usually worded ' X % off any tv package' though things like multiroom or HD are not usually included.0 -
Turns out I only had to to today (the day of the BT price rise) to leave BT without inccuring a charge. I think April Fools Day would have been better as I was told by the first call centre agent I spoke to that I had to 21 April! What a joke.:mad:0
