Credit Club - 0% Cards

OK, I have a genuine reason for needing a new credit card - my wife wishes to pay for her Open University course on a 0% repayment rather than OUSBA which is a credit account (5.1% APR) and as the "Credit Club" (well worth it btw) offered me a decent handful of 0% cards, it was easy to take the one with the longest stooze. She's doing another course, so I could do the same for next year's course.
However, following it through, it bounced it, saying that I'd given different information to them than I had for MSE. It then offered me the same deal, but I'd then lost the pre-approval (meaning that I wouldn't get the full length of repayment time).
It's a bit odd really, and it's their loss. Another card provider offered me their full deal (one month less) and it went straight through.
I wonder if the Credit Club tool isn't working quite as it should?

The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

Seemed to work fine for me.
Although just because you don't get the pre-approval, it doesn't mean you won't get the card and length stated. Unless they have started stating this recently. Where abouts did you see that point mentioned?
I ask because I didn't have pre-approval for the card I took out a few weeks ago, but I got the full 28 months that was advertised.0 -
On the credit club, on the left, many of the cards say I was 100% pre-approved and was guaranteed to get the offer.
When I started filling out the form, it popped up and said "Your details are different from the pre-approval we were provided" on the second page. The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

Are you sure the dates and addresses, and other account information, are exactly the same? Even a slight difference can cause this. And some time the bank may hold different records as well. Apart from this, i just don't know...0
