Financial Association - Directors

Myself and my wife are directors of a Ltd company.
Recently we applied for a merchant services account in the Company name, but both mine and my wife's details, as Directors, were on the application.
Today we were approved for our Merchant account, but we keep our finances separate in our personal lives, and do everything we can to not become financially associated with each other in the eyes of the Credit Reference Agencies.
Assuming the merchant services did a credit check, will my wife and I now be financially connected? I would hope not because we have no joint accounts or applications in a personal lives.
I have checked Experian and Equifax, both of which currently show no financial connections with anyone. Experian shows a credit search from the merchant services, but it is just a generic ID search, which says it does not affect my score. Equifax shows no searches by the merchant services. I think it can take a while to show up though, so I am now worried we will become connected.
Anyone know if it is likely?
