looking to buy to buy from Bellway and have been told their half and full year end is Jul/Dec respectively. the house we what is expected for completion around Nov/Dec but they haven't been released yet.
Question is would the sale of ours be classed as Novemeber when we aim to move in or is it when we pay reservation fee? just asking as I was told you are more likely to get a better deal towards mid/year end so they can reach their sales targets.

Well, as I can't read the Bellway sales plan which says who gets paid for what when, so I can't comment.
I have worked in organizations where people get paid when a customer simply writes a letter saying he plans to ".....", when a customers writes a firm order-letter/contract and also only when sale complete and funds arrived.
When you asked Bellway, what did they tell you??
(For all we know they may end up running a sales promotion in November for anyone signing up punters for their "luxury kitchen package"...)0 -
For a start you may want to check when their YE, half year is... It would be June/Dec or July/Jan. 0

From someone who has worked for a PLC house builder, do not complete on a house that is due for completion around their half year, end of year, Unless you want a rushed house with poor quality, you have to decide whether the free extras/upgrades are worth the stress of latent defect issues.0
