Hello,
Really hoping someone can help me before I have a breakdown!!!
It's about my credit score...we had a CCJ 5 years ago, it's been paid and closed off 4 and a half years ago. I expected this to still show on my Experian credit file however it is under the 'alert' section. I know who the creditor is and I have contacted them asking for proof of account closure due to payment received but they are being very difficult.
Also I don't know which court to send it to as it was passed from one court to another.
Do I need to do all this for a start? Also I have no other debt so I genuinely don't know why our credit score is so low??
Can anyone help please, thank you
Anna.

Hi Anna
I can't comment on the terminology used by Experian, so am not sure of the significance of this appearing in their "alert" section. However I do know that the judgment should be showing as satisfied on your file, even if it takes six years for it to disappear altogether.

I would contact experian, and get your full credit report with them. Then put a notice of correction, on your file, to notify everyone about the situation. Call or email them, if you need further clarification on how to do this.0
