Out of stupidity really. This was all before i met her. But she has never had a credit card or missed payments on her direct debits, she needed money for a night out and thought a payday loan would be the best way about it. If she knew that it was gonna affect her for future things like applying for a mortgage or anything then she obviously wouldn't have done it. But i suppose she wasn't to know at the time, they don't teach you these kinds of things at school or anything which i believe they should.
From what i can see now from both our credit reports (3 of mines, 1 of hers) it all looks OK other than the payday loan, which I've read some mortgage companies will just flat out refuse a mortgage at the sight of one.0 -
Hi Thomson367, I am sorry to hear that information is not showing when you view your report through CreditExpert. You should be able to see the same information on your report with both Money Saving Expert Credit Club and CreditExpert if the same name and address details have been provided in the application. I would like to look into this for you to find out why this has happened. If you email your details (name,DOB and address) to Uksocialsupport@experian.com I will be able to get this chased up for you. Kind Regards Neil.“Official Company Representative

As your 'score' is a meaningless randomly generated number in the first place it is no more true or false than any other score sold to you by a CRA. Arguing for a refund on the basis that the score is not accurate would not get you anywhere. On that basis all of their customers would be entitled to a refund!0 -

I did think it was odd but at the same time, thought it was just the way things were done. I'm on top of it now and have cancelled my direct debit with them. But yeah, i see what you mean about the scores.
Still gonna try them for a refund though, no harm in trying!
Cancelling the Direct Debit doesn't cancel your account with them it just stops them taking payment for it. So you need to make sure you also ring them up and actually cancel the account if you havn't already done so.
Also the OP is a good example of why credit scores are not helpful at all. They have blindly relied on their credit score and due to this havn't correctly checked the information on their credit report.0
