Smart at Matalan

Thanks to this forum I have today been advised by Smart Parking that they have cancelled a parking charge issued at Matalan in Boston.
I just sent the wording in the newbies section and they folded at the first appeal.
I was issued a charge as the registered keeper for non payment of the £1 parking fee even though it was paid and a Matalan receipt showed a deduction of this fee so can only assume there was a mistake in entering the registration number. I contacted Matalan who didn't want to know anything about cancelling it and just said to appeal the fine (fine was written 4 times in their reply :rotfl:)
Many thanks to the kind people on here for all the good work they do but no thanks to Matalan who now have fewer customers and I have sent them back their membership card with a suitable letter of my disgust.:j:j

Matalan like many retailers are plain stupid when it comes to these parking cowboys.
In good old british style, retailers simply don't know how much business they lose ....... when we are upset, we vanish

I hear Matalan have kicked out Smart Parking, possibly replaced by Euro Car Parks - what IS the point?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
