A few plumbing jobs

Hi, opinions welcomed on this one.
I live in an old property (no plasterboard walls, some made of stone / cob etc). The walls are approx. a foot thick.
I have been quoted £1600 (that includes vat) to install three radiators and move all the pipework go to / from the boiler to the other side of the boiler. The plumber thinks it could take up to five days so has quoted as such, if less then the bill will be lower.
The reason for the pipework move is since the boiler was installed the previous owner then erected a wall next tot he boiler making it impossible to get to the felxi hose to replace it or access the filters / traps.
Does that sound in the ball park?
Thanks.

Depends where you are in the country. But if the price includes materials then it doesn't sound too bad. It's very difficult to say without knowing what's involved - but let's take a rough guess at - what? - £200 a day for labour, that's £1000, which leaves £600 for materials. Radiators could be anything from £50 to more than £150 apiece, depending on what type. Add to that the copper piping ... it sounds very roughly in the right ballpark.
But as ever, you're best to get 3 quotes from trusted plumbers, that should give you a better indication of what's a reasonable price.0
