Hi all
Bit of a computer newbie here. I downloaded a game last night and after an hour or so of game play, the sound cut out.
I exited the game and reinstalled the sound drivers and that fixed it for about half an hour, when it cut out again. At this point I just gave up. I'm not normally a PC gamer (or a PC user at all!) so any help in figuring out the issue would be appreciated.
Cheers

Check for newer sound drivers from the manufacturers web site, or the sound system chip's supplier website, rather thinking that windows update update all of windows.
For an easy life run this and get it to do the work for you. Think this is IObits free one

Could it be an overheating thing ? Perhaps it came back not because you'd reinstalled a driver, but because it had had a break to cool down ?
Were you using the sound from a built-in speaker, or via external powered speakers ? Was it turned up loud ?0
