For the body I'm also a fan of soltan - there is an invisible spray one that rubs right in and they do spf 30 and 50. DH is really fussy about this as he refuses to wear anything greasy and he likes it as well. Decently priced too - currently buy one get one half price and as it's only £5 to start with that's a good deal.

But I'm still struggling a bit for the face, would love something that would act as a primer or a BB cream with decent spf that doesn't go all sticky in the heat, watching the answers here with interest. So far my least bad option has also been the La Roche Poesy range - the sunscreen is good but has no colour, whereas the Anthelios range has colour and sunscreen but doesn't sit right on my skin.
  • Hm, I'm still wondering if there's a way of getting the neutrogena SPF30.. I'm not sure if it's been discontinued completely or if it's just not available in the UK now.

Thanks for this, - the only ones I'd seen on EBay were all out of date or old stock.

calypso once a day is the best ive found, its similar to ultrasun but a lot cheaper, its a gel and it dries in very fast, doesnt stain - can get it in home bargains, wilkos etc

Lidl's sun cream is the one to go for. Last year up against the big brands it came out on top in the German equivalent of Which? magazine.
Lidl sunscreen is great, it's cheap and effective but it does make my skin quite greasy and doesn't sit well under makeup.
I use it for activities like gardening or running in summer, where I'm going to get sweaty and messy anyway but it's not brilliant for everyday use.

I tried Aldi's own brand last year and found it quite good.
I have used Soltan but found it stained clothing quite badly.
I'm not keen on Nivea, it doesn't seem to soak in. I do like Piz Buin or Ambre Solaire.

Thank for advise, I will try Altruist. Right now I have Chanel cream and it's not bad, but not the best.
