Cant find definitive answer as looking to change from BT line rental to Post Office and currently used 18185 for calls.
Can you use 18185 prefix with Post Office line rental or do you have to use the 0808 number?
I also find the BT website very hard to navigate and find information, as I just wanted to find out the current cost for BT line rental saver but failed.

Moneysavingexpert says it should allow, but I read that the PO changed from BT Wholesale to Talktalk LLU.0

If you get your broadband from elsewhere, or have no broadband, BT offers line rental and unlimited anytime calls for £21.99 per month. The deal is called BT Home Phone Saver. With BT, the inclusive calls cover UK geographic numbers starting 01 and 02 as well as non-geographic numbers starting 03. Calls to mobile numbers are non-inclusive. Instead, they are half price on this deal. Calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers are included, but other 084 and 087 numbers are not included.0

This is the deal that most of BT's "phone only" customers should be on, but BT seems to not actively promote it.
Instead, they promote £18.99 line rental and a call package with either inclusive weekend calls or evening and weekend calls. This exposes the caller to rip-off call charges of around 21p per call plus around 12p per minute for weekday daytime calls. Just five minutes per week of these calls and the caller has already spend more than BT Home Phone Saver (including unlimited calls) would have cost.0
