Building shed

Hi all
i am planning to build a shed at garden which is 9 meters in length and around 3 meters depth or width
This is on soft soil and where number of trees were planted before which i dis cut
I am planning to use the shed as both storage and workshop to work on my car( race)
I think building the shed on soil is a mistake as it will subside and sink so what would you do?
Dig 20cm and fill with hard rubble and concrete?
Or option two dig 20cm and film with gravel and use plastic shed kit which is a hard compressed plastic?
Question 2 is ,would you use wood or plastic?
I am planning to buy it pre made or if i can't find that size then build two side by side

Proper concrete slab base, get a builder in to do it if you're not confident you can it right. Alternatively consider something like EasyPad: http://www.easypads.co.uk/
I would go for timber, plastic is not very attractive.0 -
What cycling said, proper concrete base, it should last forever that way0

So how much will you dig?
I can do it all myself as builder will be pricy
It is a weekend or whenever i am free type of work so can do it myself without any issues0 -
Concrete blocks laid on their side then some 3x4 on top, rest shed on top of 3x4 job done.ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

when I built my sheds I dug out 6" of soil, backfilled with hardcore, then concrete base, then a course of bricks around edge then a damp course strip on the bricks
that allowed me to build the frame on top of the bricks with slight over hang, then when I clad the framework with loglap it overhang the bricks so any rain water drops from wood to floor0 -
If you're planning to build near a boundary, please don't forget building regulations!Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

You can look them up yourself on the Planning Portal:

It's planning, not building regs. There are no building regs for sheds.....(yet!:rotfl:)
OPs shed will be over 15sqm so building regs will apply unless its at least 1 metre away from the boundary or made substantially of non-combustible materials. If OP needs to build right up to the boundary then they may want to consider a plastic/metal cladding instead of timber which should satisfy this requirement.
Planning-wise, it should come under permitted development so long as it meets the requirements for height, size, location and use (which must be incidental to the enjoyment of the main dwellinghouse, a shed would normally be considered incidental).0 -

I think I'm confusing this with something else. Just thought I'd throw in the Planning Portal page for the OP as I hadn't time then to read fully....
Looking again now, it is a big shed!0
