PPI reclaim for a business ceased trading

Hi all,
I've had difficulty finding much about PPI reclaims for business, so apologies if this has been posted already somewhere else. I am wondering if anyone can offer any advice? I had a business that ceased trading several years' ago. The bank in question informs me that I do indeed have PPI associated with the accounts, but that it cannot proceed unless I re-instate the business, as it needs to be an 'active' business in order for them to investigate.
The business name has been taken over by another company (though they are trading in something completely different), so any idea what I can do in order to pursue a claim?
Many thanks
Tim

If your complaint is successful, it will be paid to the company. The company would need to be reactivated as the bank have said and a tax return completed as this will be profit and subject to corporation tax and potentially dividend tax when paid out.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Our company has just been closed.
To save me digging out all the details is it possible to view online - details of the loan taken out by my closed company? The loan was repaid 4 years ago.0 -

No. That sort of data is not in the public domain.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
