I have a Fiat Panda 2 years old which I have owned from new , with 15000 on the clock. I am a careful driver so the car has not been driven hard. My local Fiat garage has give me a quote for £360 to include oil change and filter, air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, and pollen filter. This seems a huge amount.
I have bought it on a PCP basis, and I intend to buy it off after the 4 years. Do I have to take it to the Fiat dealer I bought it from, or can i go to my trusted mechanic

Thankyou for any info, my dear trusted and savvy friends.

To give you some idea go onto eurocarparts website, put your reg number in and look at service parts. They will need oil, air (also pollen/cabin if air conditioned) filters, 4 spark plugs and engine oil. I doubt brake fluid gets changed at 2 yrs, Fiats own schedule suggests every 3 years at extra cost.

Service schedule available here ... http://www.fiatforum.com/lets-talk-fiat/33957-fiat-service-sheets.html

At a guess I'd say parts will probably come to £70 inc oil, so thats quite a lot of cash for 3 hrs labour.

If the car is still under warranty, I would take it to a fiat garage, you can of course use any garage but they must use fiat approved parts to keep the warranty valid.

if it isnt under warranty then take it wherever you are happiest ( idont know how long fiat warranties are).

Have you tried a few fiat dealers to see if the price varies and then play one off against the other

PCP usually means you are contracted to dealer servicing only. However all is not lost, call a few dealers and get a price match. £360 sounds extortionate and I would check the plugs need doing after just 2 years and 15,000 miles.

Your service book will give details of what is required.

Toyota quoted us £50 for a new pollen filter. It was £7 from ECP and took minutes to fit. Air filter will be the same.

i'd be avoiding the main stealer, use a local vat registered garage and geniune parts shouldn't have an issue if claim required later - done it for many years no issues
