Hi all
I have a nearly a full tub of full fat cream cheese to use up after filling a carrot cake yesterday. Apart from spreading it on French stick has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Gintot

Make some cauliflower cheese soup and add the cream cheese instead of half the cheddar you would normally use, would make it extra creamy and delicious.
Cheats cheesecake which is digestive biscuits spread liberally with cream cheese, sprinkled with sweetener/sugar and topped with whatever fresh fruit you like, I'e used strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all very yummy. It's the quickest pudding I know and universally enjoyed by young and old.0 -
Smoked mackeral pate - mash skinned fish with a good dollop of cream cheese, finely chopped spring onions or chives, black pepper and lemon juice to taste. Works well with salmon or trout (either smoked or unsmoked) or brown crab meat as well0

Ditto with stirring it into pasta sauce - makes it very creamy.
I also use it for a quick pudding - stew some apples (not too much water), add sugar, and then stir about a tablespoonful of cream cheese in, put into remekin dishes and chill. Just gorgeous. Also works with stewed rhubarb.
And I enjoy is spread on chilli-flavoured crackers. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
if i have any leftover from a recipe (I don't much like the plain stuff) I sling it in the freezer for next time i'm making cheese sauces or want a creamy tomato sauce. it separates on defrosting but is fine once cooked.0

Mix with mayo to make a dip for breadsticks, nachos, carrot / cucumber sticks (you could also add herbs or spices to ring the changes) or as a topping for jacket potato.Be kind to others and to yourself too.0

I had a tub of garlic & herb Philadelphia to use up, I made carbonara sauce.
Very easy and very rich.
I found something that said you needed to add a little milk if you are reheating it - and to heat gently.0 -
Mix with fine red onion, herbs and pepper. Stuff large mushrooms and bake. Serve with chilli jam. Nice.0
