Totals are not looking good, I've been dipping into pots. Must reign it in and get the new SOA done. Also the spending diary will start next week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".. Good to see you posting again. Decluttering list looking good. The financials may not seem as though you're getting anywhere but the difference is now you have pots to dip into rather than increasing your debt. Don't be so hard on yourself real life tends to get in the way.0

Thanks retired, that's a good point. I don't want to lose the pots altogether though, so must try and build them back up.

We had a quiet weekend, just pottering around the house mainly. Little jwil had a party.
A few sales on eBay but nothing major. Enough to cover the meal out tonight which is handy. It's a colleague's leaving do. I'm hoping to keep to £20 or less if possible. I don't drink so it might be manageable as I'm only going for the meal.
A few things have cropped up around the house, so it looks like all debtbusting will have to be postponed for a while until they are sortedIt all needs to be done, so I mustn't complain. I'm sure I'll be moaning about the totals not going down though

Payday today, hurrah!
Everything is paid. Not a lot left
I have started my spending diary today as I can then cover 1 months worth of wages. I am not counting bills, as I pay them every month anyway. Just extra spends, food and petrol.
£40.50 petrol today. Quite depressing the number of miles the car says I will get out of that considering the car wasn't empty. It was around 50 less than I expected compared to last time I put £40 in  The fuel was about 2p a litre dearer too. I like the new car but it's not as economical as the last oneHopefully there will be a lack of repairs to redeem it
The meal last night was good fun, although they decided to split the bill which meant I paid about £5 more than I actually spentI was still below the £20 I had hoped for though so that's ok.
We are all going out for a meal today as it's our 10 yr wedding anniversary
Not much else to report really."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
