Afternoon all, wanting to set a system restore point before loading new progs...but I find...
my pc does not seem to have system protection turned on (in system settings option for turning on is greyed out and windows and disks are all in the off position). I was expecting it to be turned on by default and now have made many a restore point!
I cannot find how to turn back on or get the greyed out option back operational. Any ideas?
win 10 latest updates 64 bit. Also have Zone alarm extreme security so Defender is off ; does that have any bearing?
TIA

Thanks DoaM.
Followed step by step and restore now functioning.
Must have had sticky fingers or selected wrong drive before. Doh!
I thought restore should have been on by default but it was not :eek:. However I now have one!0 -

Thanks Grumps.
Another brilliant move by Microsoft!
I am now wondering if there is anything else I (and others) ought to check to see if they are turned on -those that should be 'essentials' in win 10 settings!0
