FTB - Proof of deposit, long term savings

Good morning - my wife and I have had approx £30k in savings for over 12 years. These savings were built up and added to when we received bonus' etc but it's been a while (probaby over 10 years) since we paid anything in. My wife stayed at home whilst we've had a family so we were getting by on my salary alone and therefore couldn't really afford mortgage repayments. Now the wife is back in work, we can actually afford a mortgage. So my question is, how many years will we have to go back to prove the deposit is ours?

It depends who is asking, but probably not far at all - I would only look back 3 months.0

Grab a statement from say 2 years ago.
