No direct debit list....

Hello,
I recently changed bank accounts to NatWest for all my bills to come out of. I didn't use the switching service. I phoned all my bill company's and gave the new details. No bills have come out yet, I believe most are due tomorrow and 1st.
When I log onto my banking and selected direct debits nothing shows up. Will they come up once first payment has been taken? Panicking that none of my bills will be paid.
Thanks

If the dd's have been set up, I believe they should be showing even if the payment date is 'unknown'

Unless anything has changed recently Natwest only shows a DD once the first payment has been taken. When I queried this the chap on the information desk said that all banks do it this way. I was able to show him that First Direct for one does not.0

It's an annoying quirk of the RBS system. If you phone up they can tell you if it's set up (and cancel if you need to).
Every other bank I've been with shows it as soon as it's set up.0 -
Natwest only show the DD after first payment has been taken.
Newly set up direct debits will only show on Online Banking once the first payment has been taken from your account.
After the first payment has been taken it will display on your statement, and you will be able to view it along side any other existing direct debits.
Viewing and cancelling your existing direct debits
Log in to your Online Banking service at https://www.nwolb.com
Once logged in select 'Payments and transfers' from the left hand menu.
Select 'Manage direct debits' from the 'Direct debits' section.
This will take you to your existing direct debits where you can view and cancel them.
