Can you put a bit of wood-primer onto plaster wall?

Got some grease spots - from where we had stuck up swatches with blue tack - showing through emulsion undercoat. Can I spot repair them with wood primer? (Would rather not have to go out and buy a tin of plaster primer for touching up some spots)

Anything oil based should stop it bleeding through.0

Oil based undercoat will cover stains too, it's probably a more useful thing to have in your cupboard too.0

Thanks both - in the end it was solved with just spot-painting on more emulsion onto the undercoat before topcoating. Bloody annoying though - last time I use blue-tack!0
