    Evening all,

Not posted since Friday as we haven’t been at home much.

Saturday was spent meeting up with DD for a coffee/cake/natter and for Mother’s Day she gave me a bottle of my favourite hand-cream, much appreciated as I’m nearly out of it.

On Sunday we went to DS &DDiL’s, made all the more enjoyable by lovely sunny weather. We even had lunch outside. They gave me a bouquet of flowers, not shop-bought but from their garden (tulips and some kind of foliage), and a supply of red velvet cupcakes made by DDiL. She really does make exceedingly good cakes!

By the time we got home on Sunday evening we were pooped – a boisterous 3-yr old DGS who can’t sit still and his twin 1-yr old brothers who are now walking and getting into everything made sure of that – but it was a lovely day out.

Back down to earth today, repairing our fridge-freezer. It’s supposed to be frost-free but for some reason ice was appearing inside the freezer cabinet. It’s no longer under guarantee but it is only 3 ½ years old so, not particularly wanting to call out an engineer or worse still, having to fork out for a new one, I went online to find a cure. To cut a long story short, said appliance is now working like a dream and is humming along nicely. The problem was a blocked drain that takes the melt water into a drip tray at the bottom of the appliance. Tools required: a long-handled screwdriver, a pile of towels, my hairdryer and a lot of patience. :j

It’s been cloudy here today but not particularly cold and tomorrow is supposed to be brighter, at least in the morning. That’s good news as I now have a pile of soggy towels to wash and dry! :D

Have a peaceful evening all. X

Yesterday was lovely as oldest dd and middle dd came over and cooked us a diet friendly beef stroganoff with low fat yoghurt, fruit and jelly for dessert.

I have pot pourri for the bathroom, a big bunch of flowers and a little vase for the bathroom.

Have just made another musclefood order which should arrive on Thursday and got a really good deal. DD and SIL are coming round for dinner, an overnight stay and leaving their cat on Wednesday for me to cat sit!

When are you going to tell the boys? They will be so chuffed.

Neighbour saw me outside moving wheelie bins and came over then felt a bit wobbly so invited her in for tea and a sit down. We ended up having a long chat and some tears from us both but hope I have helped a bit. She is thinking of library volunteering so I gave her some info and suggested a few other things she might enjoy once she feels up to it.It seems strange for me to be the strong one as over the last two years I have sobbed over so many people.

I have not used the system you mention but got very good results with dilute Stardrops in a bucket , frothed up and using the top coat of bubbles brushed all over a carpet, left to dry and then hoovered. Really cheap and easy.

Looking forward to getting new plants and roses in April and a holiday near Pompeii over Easter with three DDs and SIL. It sounds a bit like a bucket list but I have a lot more life in me (I hope) ;)

Have e mailed a company to ask about getting cabinets in the loft bedroom to square it off a bit and need to think about finding someone to look at the staircase as it looks as if it is falling to bits. Just about everything the previous owner did was either bodged, scrimped or dangerous or all three.

    Hugs to all

I have used a rug doctor and it was good. The best was my old van that broke after many years.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
