Good morning everyone :hello:
It's a bright and sunny morning here. Hubby and the girls have left for work/school. DD15's hand has gone right down so she isn't going for an xray now as it's still a little painful but she can use it alright.
I have been perusing recipes as I want to ring the changes a bit so tonight I am going to make a lamb hotpot. I have lots of chicken and mince as well from my musclefood order so I will be looking for interesting meals to cook with them.
The girls want to do the cooking challenge again in the Easter holidays. I am being very encouraging of this as I get three days off from cooking. I will have to think of a nice prize for the winner again.
Hester, I am so glad you had a nice weekend and I love your L&M's new name.
JackieO -I can't believe you have managed to keep your holiday a secret from the boys, they are going to be over the moon when they find out. I hope you have a fantastic holiday and also I hope you have a lovely day out with your friend.
snoozer, I will have my fingers crossed you get the tests you want.
Camelot, I hope your daughter is soon on the mend x
I am not expecting any visitors this week as one has gone to London to sort out some repairs to a flat they own and my other friend is recovering from her operations. Never mind, I will have the girls home next week for a fortnight so I will be acting as a referee then :rotfl:.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Its a very grey morning, its a bit breezy, supposed to get brighter later. I washed the towels overnight so they are out on the line.
Monday clean to do, at least I do not have a moaning OH changing the duvet cover, I did it myself yesterday, it was lovely last night, clean jim jams and a lovely clean bed smelling of fresh air!!
Nice tea yesterday at DD's, I am cooking the lamb tonight, so Sunday supper on Monday.....hey ho. I need to grate up some cheese, the block in fridge has a couple of mould spots on, so will change the menu and have cheese fritatta for supper one night. We have not been eating as much cheese just recently.
No grocery shopping this week, next week. I still have a small turkey crown in the freezer, I am going to cook it for Easter Sunday, we will take some of it away on holiday with us, will do several meals plus stock for soup.0 -

OH and I cleaned the shed of doom yesterday  you would never believe the amount of stuff in there, OH is a bit of a hoarder but I wont let him hoard stuff in the house, so a lot went in the shed. There is a huge pile for the tip, a huge pile of non burnable wood and a huge pile or burnable wood, its all over the garden atm ! It will have to wait till next weekend now !
Ive given up with our sheds. They are brimmed full and overflowing. Biggest shed houses all his work/car stuff and the small shed houses all the house/garden tools except that the top shed is leaking all over the place and will need replacing within the next 12 months. My idea was that he could sort the big shed out and house tools from the smaller shed too but he keeps adding to the rubbish he brings back. Theres 3 full sets of tyres in the big shed for cars we don't own any more and numerous tow bars, again from cars we don't own any more. Welders. He hasn't worked on a car for gone 20 years but wont part with.
We have loads of fence panels now to dispose of.... I notice the old hinges and screws are in the kitchen drawer.....They will be there till the weekend, I will ask him to take them down the shed and if he doesn't they will be chucked. I wont allow him to hoard stuff in the house either.

Well, mixed success at the doctor. She was fairly receptive but didn't think that the hospital would do the tests without some supporting evidence. She said nodules on the thyroid, which I told her that I do have (I had a scan when I was diagnosed, although that was 30years ago). She's put it down so we shall see what happens, I go to the vampire on Monday.0

Oh bums my work laptop has got the gremlins. I've managed to save this morning's piece of work, I think, but I can't turn it off to reboot. I think I will have to do it naughty way by holding the on button down.
If it hasn't saved this morning's work, I'm going to have a very loud hissy fit. You will hear it.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Well i think the afternoon is going better than this morning.
Had a phone call from hubby this morning.
Hubby: "Need to transfer the money over to pay for the car but ive forgotten my password. My mind has gone blank".
Me: "Well what are you telling me for, I don't know it.... by the way, ive lost my ring, cant find it anywhere."

Hi everyone
Went over to the caravan this morning although the weather was grey and cold. DH said " Don't worry it will get warmer and the sun will come out later ", did it heck! The car thermometer said 5 degrees on the way there and 8 on the way back. However, I did manage to clean the inside while DH checked it for road worthiness, tyres and brakes etc. but brought the fridge shelves/basket home to wash later. Lunch consisted of sandwiches and in my case, eaten with great difficulty, as eating a tuna sandwich with your gloves on is highly overrated:rotfl:. I don't think I could ever make it as an Eskimo!
Tea tonight was chicken, leftover from yesterday and some french fries from the freezer - quick and easy. Now I'm going to jump in the bath to warm up my toes which still feel like ice pops!
Enjoy this evening everybody.

Had a nice day out with my friend and we were treated very well by the young man at the garage dealership. I get my new car on 28th June
:):)
We then went into Sittingbourne for lunch at the Bay Tree restaraunt in Roman Square, its very pleasant there and the staff ar lovely ladies
Its a 'vintage ' style place and the decor is WW2 but the food home cooked as ordered and very hot ,and fresh from the stove.
We both had omelettes and salad plus I had a pot of tea and she a cafetière of coffee and it only cost us £13 for the lot, beautifully cooked, and we were both full when we came outI'd highly recommend it if you are in the area at all. wehad a good wander around the shops but nothing caught our eye, so we came back to my house for a cuppa and a natter.
Sun has finally decided to appear late afternoon, but tomorrows forecast seemingly is better.
My friend gave me all the bumph about our forthcoming trip up to Manclandand we decided that when we go into Manchester for the day we will go on the train to save worrying about finding somewhere to park.
I had an email from an old friend who lives in Marple so we will probably get to see her and her OH when we are up there. We are hoping to get to the Imperial War Museum as well at some point. Are there any street markets in the surrounding areas that might be good to have a shufti at ?
We are inveterate browsersand enjoy looking for wool (for me, I knit ) fabric (for her, she quilts) and books for us both
we also are hoping to get to The Lowry gallery as well, plus any recommendations for tea shops would be good

I know they said it would be cooler today but by heck it was much much cooler - b...... cold in fact! I went in town in a thinner jacket and did I know about it! I was frozen stiff! I had washed my thick parka yesterday and put it away but I think it will be back out again tomorrow!
Had a phone call this afternoon to say my new sofas would be delivered next Tuesday and now I am in a panic! I want to hire a Rug Doctor for the carpet and big rug first and find homes for my present sofas before they are delivered! Must get on with that at the end of the week.
If anybody has ever used a Rug Doctor let me know if it's worth the effort of hiring, bringing home and cleaning with it please! Don't want to waste the time and money if it doesn't make any difference!
Enjoy your evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
