I looked on paypal. Says on 28th status is placed and paypal are reviewing & will get in contact with me soon?
Has buyer appealed? It hasn't said anything in my ebay?

It may have been they opened a case on ebay and on paypal?

As you have tracking, add the tracking to the case, you may not be able to as it's being reviewed, so to be safe you need to call paypal and ask them to add it now. Be quick.

Looking at the dates I escalated the case on the 28th. (It was that point paypal ringfenced the money, as ebay reviewing). Then ebay closed the case on the 29th.
Paypal certainly stating it's due to a ebay case review.
Looks like the information hasn't filtered through to paypal the case has been closed and in my favour.

i think the money is ringfenced for 2/3 months in cases like these, And just because ebay ruled in your favour, doesn't mean that paypal will im afraid. Welcome to the world of being an ebay seller!

I can't understand why paypal are involved. The statement in the paypal notes says clearly that the funds are on hold because of a ebay case.

I have a message from ebay on 29th saying the paypal funds are available. The buyer has not made any further action.

I'll have to get in contact with ebay to sort this out.

I do now wish I had just waited and let the case time out (though did run the risk if the buyer did happen to escalate it)!

    lol ok.
I'll speak to ebay and see what they say It's only a small amount, but it's the principle. Just getting fed up of these companys dictating where my money goes.

Hi John, please listen to a bit of advice- I note that other people on other MSE boards have tried in the past, but you need to address your responses to threads. Jumping into threads with random comments and with usually no relevant advice is not useful . If you have an issue with eBay or PayPal, as appears to be the case In your other posts yesterday, ask the question and those with experience will help if they can.

You have relatively low feedback yet have mentioned several serious issues you have had, including losing £1000 on one sale and losing money on other sales, please ask for help on your own thread before you lose anything else.

I always think a quick call is the best way, PayPal can be surprisngly helpful on the phone.
