sounds like these are possibly in the companies names, as they did this?
I worked with a business in a similar situation last week, but the developer produced no output in my case..
First you need to look on Nominet to find out who really is the owner of jamels2.co.uk, and hopefully their contact details, if you are lucky, is you. If it is not your details/contact, then you will have to contact Nominet, who will contact the developers and raise a dispute. The Basic challenge is free, but Escalation further costs, and the charges are on Nominets site.
Once you have jamels2.co.uk you can set up your own site, using your own people.
The developers may have bought the hosing out of their own pocket, so you can't take their space. Also their work is theirs, so you cant get it deleted either, but once you point your jamels2.co.uk to your new servers, no one really will find them either, the keywords still may pop it they add a new domain to that old site. I am unsure if the developers will be contacted by the hosting company
Many registrar and hosting companies are not interested in the politics, are neutral, and will show no animosity, and host your site with the same quality of service they gave the developers.0 -
If you own the domain you should also be able to control the DNS. If you point that away from the server you object to there is no need to delete it as nobody apart from the server owner is going to be able to access it.0

If you are registered owner as you say, if .uk domain just log in to Nominet and change tag number to preferred your registar.
then change nameserver to your prefered hosting.
For other TLD's is similar but solution depends on registar they are currently with, essentially is same, just has to be done in certain way to avoid charge. Please be nice to all MoneySavers. Yes correct if you are the owner just change the DNS of the domain or point the domain to some different location you want that should solve the your problem.0
