Ordering services that may impact credit before completing

Hi
Our mortgage is accepted and we are just awaiting to exchange and completion which should be next month. I am thinking about being pro-active and ordering Sky and Broadband for a few days after completion date (once it's properly set) as there is normally a long lead time.
However, I wonder if this could leave an imprint on my credit file which could be a risk on the mortgage for when I complete (I assume their is a last credit check before money is released). Is there really a risk for this type of credit activity?
Thanks in advance for advice or past experience

I don't know about affecting your credit file but signing up for things before completion and especially before exchange is a very bad idea, there is usually only a 14 day cooling off period so if you sign up now and don't find out that something has gone wrong until a few weeks down the line you are liable for cancellation charges and possibly buying out of the full price of the contract. Add to that that some places won't let you sign up until the previous contract at the address has been cancelled you may not even be allowed to do it.0

Can you not manage for a week or so without sky/broadband? Not sure that it takes as long as you are estimating to get it installed. Then there were no risks with not completing when expected.
I used my mobile for a short time until I was able to get broadband (just don't use Youtube/watch videos).0 -
Your exchange date may well change, and the deal could fall through.
I'd definitely wait.
