Hello am looking for advice please as I need a new laptop for Internet browsing (with 6-7 tabs open simultaneously) the odd bit of streaming/you tube music videos - not gaming or anything else.

Do I need a fast processor for that, maybe a Quad rather than Dual core?

I like a funky colour and nothing too heavy but obviously the tech spec is way more important - my top budget is £230 - any ideas/links/advice please?

Thanks very much in advance

Pretty much any laptop will do what you want if thats all your doing.

The one you post is more than sufficient.

Yes a chromebook will also be sufficient, however if you plan on storing large files this will be restricted to the size of the drives.

I bought a windows tablet from Sainsburys the other week. £99 and does all of the internet browsing bits. I got a bluetooth keyboard for my bag and a usb keyboard and mouse for home. The make of it is Linx

like with anything, YMMV. These seems to be in the lime-light here from this supplier. By the look of things people seem to be very happy with supplier and Lenovo. Most business class machines have a better build and greater reliability than home ones.

But they are older, only have bluetooth v2, screens could have a better resolution, consume more power, be faster cpu (but often these are faster than newer £400 consumer models from major stores), 3 usb ports, no hdmi port, no SD card, possibly a better web cam would be good, and replacement nipples should you wear them out once costed £15, but still they are a decent machine.

Dell outlet is best of both worlds, is new kit that has been refurbed because they messed up on shipping a new order and comes with usual warranty

There is usually a code on front page for a further 10% off maybe more, prices quoted are ex vat, they are doing different deals this week so wait for laptop deal

Other option is people on eBay selling buy it now laptops that have been refurbed, you need to check feedback.

Argos are a good player in this.
