Hello all, ive just received an email from one of my creditors (payday loan) that they have instructed CRS to act on their behalf, throughout this thread, I've not heard of them, has anyone had any dealings with them??? Help please, I'm in early stages DMP and this will be my first debt that will be going to a DCA so slightly nervous

Credit Resource Solutions - a new breed of debt collector, according to their website !!

    Yea right !!

Nothing will change Leanne, Stepchange just pay CRS instead of the payday loan company, if you want to keep them in the loop, a short letter explaining your in a DMP with stepchange, you will be paying them x amount per month, please dont contact me in any other way except in writing, and include your stepchange ref number, job done, now whats for tea ?

    Hi all,

Just a follow up to the letter I wrote to Idem saying I wouldn't be paying anything as it was Unenforceable and asking them to write off the debt.

They have given me a case number

thank you for your complaint received 20th July 2017. Our operations manager has been made aware of it.
I am sorry to learn that you have been dissatisfied and confirm we will be conducting a thorough investigation into your concerns. Once we have completed this we will write to you
they enclosed a copy of their internal complaints procedure.

I have no idea what to make of that! Anyone had dealings with Idem after they had said a debt was unenforceable thanks

At a guess (after receiving the same letter last week and the follow up) you will get a letter saying they have supplied what they need to for the CCA and that they will not correspond on the matter any further and any letters you send will be filed and not replied to. And that the debt is enforceable as far as they are concerned....

Interested to know what you will do as I am not sure what to do with this one now...

Of course, sorry, i forgot you were self managing, they will be unaware of any previous payment arrangement you had so you will just have to inform them what they are going to get paid and when.

But before you do that, payday loan companies are notorious for selling on debts and not following correct procedure as set out in law.

I would send them a CCA request, make sure they have the legal paperwork to demand payment from you, this also tells them there not dealing with Johnny Bananas, and you know your rights, it also buys you time, at least a month, not bad value for the sake of a quid.

Have they actually admitted its unenforceable in writing ?

These are large companies you are dealing with, half the time, one hand docent know what the other one is doing, its common place to get mixed messages as anything to do with enforceability will come from the compliance dept, and anything to do with missed payments will be from collections, two separate enteritis.

Hi Sourcrates, Yes I have the letter saying it's currently Unenforceable until such time as they can supply the documents I have requested. That was in May

Then just supply them a copy of that letter they sent you and leave it at that.

Any further letter tennis is pointless at the moment.

You will most likely get more computer generated letters, just read and file in the recycle bin.

    Hi Leanne
One of my debts (Lending Stream) has been passed onto CRS they wiped £700 from the £1600 bill and I spoke to them on the live chat and they were great (fingers crossed it stays this way)
