Best places for contents insurance?

Hello

I just need a bit of help, I'm an unemployed single mum, my partner walked out on us in December, I've been trying to get all the benefits sorted out now i need things like contents insurance.

there's two of us living in a private rental flat in a grade 2 listed building, obviously i want the best deal i think say about 25k worth of cover should be right and protection of stuff while I'm out and about upto 1k for engagement ring (yes I'm still wearing it in hope and sentimental value round my neck), my phone and mainly my watch.

Dont carry laptops about, don't have any outside space, live in expensive London.

Can people please recommend whos the best and cheapest for my needs, because i have tried looking at quotes on a few sites and found 2 out 3 didn't actually have my address listed on the drop down menu and the 3rd said i have to call them for a quote because its grade 2 listed.

So please can people give me a list of the top ones to try on price and cover so i can narrow it down and not spend weeks phoning every insurance company there is.

Thanks in advance fellow bargain hunters.

Contact a brokers such as Towergate and they will have greater choice of policies available.

You need Contents including accidental damage and also personal effects to cover items away from home. Personal effects is just an extra to Contents to cover items away from home.

In regard to your occupation, it might be better to state house person/mother.

We cannot go into any more details on a forum. You need to speak to an insurance broker or company and discuss your requirements.
