Can't cancel order?

I purchahsed some clothes from house of fraser today, (online)

I wanted them to come sunday evening and the delivery options were lower down so it was paid for with 3-5 delivery.

I chatted to the online chat and then called, and they say, the only way to cancel is to wait until dispatch, where i could get the courier to return to sender, and said if its royal mail they wont do this.

Or.

I have to take receipt of the goods and send them back.

Is that odd or is it just me?

I paid via credit card / through paypal.

I'm bugged because i've had to make the same order again for tommorrow evening and therefore paid twice.

Is there no way to get your card company or pay pal to cancel if the seller is refusing or saying it's not possible?

Rather than me have to go out of my way to resend.

I wouldn't mind, it's not like i was just cancelling

I've read your post twice and I think you are saying you chose the wrong delivery method the first time.

If that's the case you can't do anything other than refuse delivery or return if you take delivery.

I would be concerned about being bugged.

Hmm..you guys sound like reasonable people lol.

It's ridicuous not to be able to cancel an order.

But yes seems my only choice is to refuse order if that's possible or send it back.

And the checkout process on house of fraser showed the pay option above the fold, you had to scroll down to reselect the delivery time. So they could make it easier.

and yes i am bugged because i only went there to buy some cheap clothes because my washing machines playing up and ended up spending over a monkey.

Surely some hand washing liquid would be cheaper than either new clothes or a monkey.

House of Fraser is not where you go to buy cheap clothes. Try Asda.
