Brit living overseas wants to open UK bank account

Can I open a UK bank account if I have no UK address? I'm currently living in Spain but returning to UK later this year and want to open an account in advance. If this is possible which banks are recommended? Thanks!

With regard to Santander and Sabadell, these were just suggestions on the basis of the fact that these Spanish banks have the UK connections.
