Cheap bathrooms? Recommendations please!

Can anyone recommend a cheapish bathroom supplier that they have used. Have been looking at some of the online ones (Victoria Plum, Victorian Plumbing etc) but am nervous as you cannot see the quality before you buy. Are these suppliers a false economy?

I bought my stuff from a local small independent shop. Their prices were originally expensive, but I asked if they would price match the items I found online (mainly Ideal Standard) and they did.

They are local so delivery was easy. The only negative is that, if I wanted to return anything they have a re-stocking charge, but fortunately I did not need this.

Avoid Victoria Plum, there's a reason they're cheap.

If you want cheapish B&B or screwfix usually have offered. They won't be the best quality though.

I would be interested in knowing just how you could tell the quality of a bathroom fitting by looking at it.
This often comes up on this forum and it is not apparent to me how a person not in the industry, could possibly know.

i go on previous experience of the brand. Brands such as IS will have a good quality glaze that will be easy to clean over the years. Cheap ones will crackle or be difficult to keep clean, especially around here where there is lime in the water.

Is there a Clifton Trade Bathrooms near you? They are our preferred supplier now, not a bad word to say about them. #
