Iphone/Ipad not found in itunes

I updated itunes a couple of days ago. Since then I've not been able to sync my iphone/ipad as itunes does not show it as a device. I've tried a couple of different cables and USB ports and tried re-starting my devices and computer. Nothing has worked. Windows knows my device is plugged in but it doesn't show in itunes.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?
