I am looking for a simple way to download and read ebooks on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Im off on holiday soon so it would be useful to purchase Lonely Planet guide etc.

Your local library may have an e version of the guide you are interested in (at no cost).

Check their website for details of which app you require - mine uses Overdrive.

You will of course have to be a member of your library to get anywhere with this but I have downloaded a number of guides as well as holiday reading books onto my Samsung tablet.

Thank you Neil49 - that's a very MSE tip. After downloads a Lonely Planet guide via Google Play (all very straight forward but not free), I've just checked and my local library does indeed have an eBook download option. My library card has expired so I need to renew it but it looks like that will be a good option.
