Reversed on car park and hit car who's fault?

I was looking for a space on a Carpark seen one but then seen 2 together 3/4 cars down all on left side, as I have a pickup I decided to go past the first and go too the ones together as it would be easier to park, when I got to them I noticed they both had concrete posts and my car would stick out of the space quite far as it is really long,I decided I was going to reverse back to the other space and reverse into that, checked my mirrors and it was clear so started to reverse, noticed I was quite close to the cars on the left so was watching left mirror to manouver away from them a bit when I felt a bump and heard a horn looked back to see a car had drove (forwards) out of a space on the right and turned slightly in the direction of my car and I bumped it, being a pickup 4x4 it wasn't too easy to see them and the rear left corner of my bumper had hit her car on her right side of her car on the left side of her Headlight and took a golf all sized flake of paint off (no damage to mine as it's a solid metal bumper the back. Who would be to blame? Me for not seeing them or them for pulling out and not seeing me moving or50/50? Thanks for any help.

    Have I got this right?

    1) You were driving an unmanoeuvrable 4X4 pickup truck

    2) This is a car park. The spaces are designed for cars.

Would you have seen them if you had looked while reversing?

Just about but they could have seen me and what I was doing, a lot better than I I would be able to see them, I hadn't gone into any spaces I was still in the road and they had pulled out of a space.

    1. It's not unmanouverable, I use it everyday on many different Carparks and it manouvers quite easily...

    2. The spaces are designed for all types of vehicles. Just not the ones with big concrete posts in them...

your fault, sounds like the other car was stationary and you weren't watching where you were going

It's your fault I'm afraid. You were carrying out the manoeuvre (reversing), whilst he was correctly proceeding and (from what it sounds like) stationary.

I don't know if the other car was moving but it wasn't fully on the road, it was mostly out the space and slightly towards me.does the vehicles on the road part not have right of way over vehicles in spaces? thanks for the help :)
