Windows 10 error code

Hi,

My PC sometimes takes an age to load Windows 10.

If it goes into sleep mode, it generates the following error message and restarts:

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
igdkmd64.sys

I have checked for virus & malware
Cleaned & Cleared registry errors with CCleaner
Re-installed windows
Updated drivers

but still having issues.

any advice greatly appreciated

Hmm, that's usually driver or hardware conflicts.
First thing I would do is RIGHT click on the start flag, choose device manager
locate your display adapter, right click it and choose "uninstall"


Then reboot your computer and tell us the results


This scenario usually occurs on a machine that's been upgraded from Windows 8 to 10.
Is that the case here ?

Thanks guys :A, I have been struggling with this issue for ages.

Deleting display adapter and restart appears to have done the trick; AMD Radeon HD6900M Series.
Yes, upgraded from Windows 8 to 10.

If you simply search with your error message "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED igdkmd64.sys" you will get tons of solution or conversations online. Just google it.

I did just that and tried the online "solutions" which I summarised and listed in post number 1. Unfortunately, updating the driver et al did not solve the issue.

Deleting the driver as suggested by AndyPix:A solved the issue for me

Not particularily helpful if you have to wade through tons of information is it?
