Our solicitor rang and told us that she was informed that there had been a contract race and asked if I had been informed which I hadn't, she said she had not been informed either and nearly fell off her seat when they told her exchange and completion had taken place an hour previously. She then explained that 2 contracts had been given out and that the first to exchange would get the house, something neither of us had been informed about
