Altering existing kitchen cupboard for new integrated dishwasher

Hi there, my partner and I will be moving into a new flat with a great fitted kitchen. However we would like to install a dishwasher, and I'm wondering how we might go about altering the existing cupboard to accommodate this.
There is a large cupboard space next to the sink (unsure of dimensions at present) which would be convenient, but presumably dishwashers also need an electrical supply. I'm concerned about sorting this out around the existing cupboards!
Does anyone have any experience with this? Doubt we'd be doing it fully DIY (my dad might have other plans) but would be great to have an idea of how doable this is and what work might need to be done. Thanks!

An integrated dishwasher doesn't go in a cupboard. It simply sits in a 600mm space (secured to the worktop or adjacent cupboards) with a d!cor door on the front to make it look alike a cupboard. Therefore the cupboard you are suggesting would need to be removed. You will need to have an electrical supply. We fit these in the adjacent cupboard and feed the cable through. Its quite straightforward if you know what you are doing. You maybe best to get a kitchen fitter in to do this.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Apologies, my post wasn't clear. I understand the arrangement of an integrated dishwasher, but as we are trying to fit one in to an existing fitted kitchen we will be removing the components of a cupboard near to the sink so that we will have an empty cavity, with countertop remaining, which we hope to slot the dishwasher in to. And we will hopefully be able to re-purpose the existing cupboard door.
Not the most straightforward DIY job I suppose so I will research kitchen fitters, thanks.0 -
